A run through the Sandia Mountains
My run yesterday was so beautiful I had to share with you.
We’re a few weeks out from monsoon season, the time in New Mexico from mid-June to mid-September that we get the bulk of our rain…yet already this week we’ve had 1.2 inches!
The Apache plume is blooming.
The cholla flowers are starting to open.
I thought of my girl Opal who saw many similar things as she hiked down Wolf Mountain.
We will not discuss the terrible gnats hanging out in Bear Canyon.
So grateful this is my “backyard” I can enjoy whenever I like!
