Ever since reading Jane Yolen’s SOFT HOUSE to my boys years ago, any sort of pillow fort they build is called just that.
My boys are getting older, and there aren’t as many soft houses as there used to be. Seeing this one a few weeks ago made me smile.
I love the way books give us words to talk about our world!
Oh, I loved when my kids did this. My grown kids and I still quote PB lines to each other now and then. 🙂
I love knowing this!
Ah, the soft house – my son spent his whole summer in one this year. It became quite elaborate, and took over a good part of the living room, but it made me smile every time I had to climb around it!
You’re a good sport to let him keep it up that long! Did you call it a soft house?
oh my gosh, I love this fort! Alas, my boys are too old to build these anymore! xo
