Instead of a launch party for Over in the Wetlands, I lead story time at the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Library‘s Cherry Hills branch. Think stories, games, coloring pages, and gator cookies.
Reading Wetlands by Cathryn Sill.
Explaining the three things we needed to “make” a hurricane: wind, waves, and rain. Look at that handsome boy of mine on the right!
And the other handsome one! (Incidentally, this is what happens when the Rose boys take over the camera).
What a creative “launch.” You can tell how much the kids enjoyed it. (And those handsome boys, too.)
It was really fun. Lots of engaged kiddos with right on and not-so-right-on answers (the entertaining kind). It’s very satisfying to have your target audience sit at your feet and listen in!
Looks super fun! Congrats, girl!
Looking forward to seeing your little people in August. xo
Looks like a lot of fun! I love the gator cookies! I did moose cookies for my launch party in June. They were a big hit.
Do you have pictures??? Off to search your blog…
How much do I love this post! Your adorable ‘do and those exuberant sons. And the BOOK, Caroline! GORGEOUS! Am gifting it to my nephew who was born (in Tennessee) during Hurricane Katrina. Maybe you can send me a personalized nameplate?? Will message you. xo
