Another Swamp Adventure

I took another hike “across the bayou,” visiting the same nature trail I visited last Christmas. Here’s what I saw:

This little guy,
this little guy,
and this little guy.

Wow, an armadillo! I’ve never seen one before. And in Louisiana too, and I thought they were only out west. Learn something new every day.

Ah, we used to see armidillos all the time when we lived in Missouri. I love the bayou pics. And I think think have sons about the same age!

The armadillo would have sent me shrieking through the bayou!

I think I love the bayou. I only see raccoons and possums in my forest!! Sometimes a coyote or a deer… but nothing nearly as cool as armadillos or feral children. 😀

    Caroline,
What gorgeous pics. I especially love that armadillo. 🙂

BTW, I gave you the Prolific Blogger Award. I don’t know if you accept awards, but I’ve so enjoyed reading your blog. I appreciate your genuineness and openness so much. 🙂
