Dream a Little Dream…

I met my dear friend Jamie Martin ten years ago, when we both lived in the DC area. We have since moved a combined total of five times, added five children to our families, started four blogs, and published two books.

We’ve seen each other twice in the last seven years.

A few weeks ago, I emailed her a spur-of-the-moment idea: Let’s meet up somewhere for a writing retreat. We could write in the mornings and afternoons and read each other’s work in the evenings. And since I’m dreaming, let’s make the place Prince Edward Island (home of Lucy Maud Montgomery, whose books and journals we’ve pored over).

At the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012, we’re going to make it happen. How amazing is that?

That would be lovely. I hope you really do go there. Sounds like a wonderful place for writing and dreaming.

And since I finally got around to reading ANNE OF GREEN GABLES this month, I can understand perfectly why you’d be drawn to Prince Edward Island. Cool!
