A spine that focuses on my spirited hero, snowy trees that wrap around the back cover, lovely words about Blue Birds, and the perfect shade of navy to make it all pop (a near match for the shirt in my almost-ancient author photo): this jacket’s full of atmosphere and old-timey storytelling.
I absolutely adore it.
Truly gorgeous invitation to know Jasper! And I like the back, too!
Thank you, Jeannine. I’m so happy with it. And your words on the back make it extra special.
After enjoying Blue Birds and May B…. I am very much looking forward to Jasper’s adventures. You have a great gift for historical fiction- and are an immense talent. Which is why you very much deserved the Jefferson Cup award. I am sure Jasper and the Riddle of Riley’s Mine will be beloved by youngsters and adults everywhere; just like with your previous works.
Thank you, Arjay. I think I’m drawn to historical fiction because I can’t help but admire the everyday lives of everyday people, both past and present. The hard word required in living an ordinary life in a time other than the present is something that amazes me. Kids, if exposed to history through story, become interested in the similarities and differences in the past and the present, too. It’s fun to watch it happen.
I’m really looking forward to meeting Jasper on the page, and he certainly comes in an appealing package. So happy for you and the exciting anticipation.
What a great way to describe a book cover — a package for the gift inside!
It is definitely stunning! How exciting for you!
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful jacket! And definitely conveys the spirit of old time story-telling – I can’t wait to get to know Jasper!
Thank you, Susan. I hope you’re well!
