I need to choose which picture to use as my author photo. Any input would be appreciated!

Should it be #1

or #2?

I like number two… but number one didn’t load properly when I got on your blog. so I am sure that one is nice too 🙂

That’s a tough one. They both look good. I’ve always liked the first one and the second seems to say “I enjoy what I do.” I’d go with #1.

They are both beautiful, but I think #1 looks more dramatic–good for an author pic.

#1 – it’s from an angle, which is usually always more flattering. You look both in great, though! I love your hair!

Caroline, this is a tough question, both photos look good. I think I like #1 best, because it has more of a hint of mystery to it.

Ugg. They’re both really nice. Hmmm…I’m not sure if it’s because I’m used to seeing it, but photo one makes me feel like I know you. LOL

I honestly think they are both good and flattering photos, so I can see why you are undecided.
That said, I’d go with #1.

I’m still away on a long vacation in Maine, land of sketchy internet and NO cell phone service…so I apologize for not getting around the blogosphere in weeks.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend,
    Lola

You have a very nice smile, which is the benefit of #2, but I’d go with #1 because it seems author-like.

I agree–number one is a more engaging and complex look, and your eyes come out, which is very important in a portrait. Lovely shots!

Definitely the first–you look great in both, but the angle and composition of the first one is intriguing and there’s something memorable about it:-)
