Every time I visit my parents, I have to go through the family photo albums. During our July trip I decided to take pictures of pictures. Thought it would be fun to share them here. All photos are during our years in Saudi Arabia, 1977-1980.
Wadi Musa, Jordan, where Moses struck the rock and water flowed (notice my Paddington Bear shirt!)
Petra, Jordan for Kimberley Griffiths Little, who traveled there earlier this year
With a funny old fellow in Greece
During a picnic at the Lawrence of Arabia train
Standing in my parents’ sink to comb my hair
Reading with my mama
Wow, these remind me of photos my mother has of me and my family in Greece in the early 80s. They’re so fun to look through, aren’t they! These are just gorgeous. The one in Greece, do you know exactly where it is?
It might be Crete. I’ll have to ask at Thanksgiving. I didn’t realize your connection to Greece has been such a long one, Jessica?
Hi Jessica. Just got this email from my mom. Here’s what she says.
“It was taken at the bottom of Acropolis hill where there were piles of marble pieces and what appeared to be rubble, stuff still to put together. Don’t think that even exists now. All is probably cleaned up.”
Love these! What precious memories and times.
Do these pictures look like the Jordan you encountered?
Beautiful pictures .. Petra – Jordan
