Thank God for hard stones; thank God for hard facts; thank God for thorns and rocks and deserts and long years. At least I know now that I am not the best or strongest thing in the world. At least I know now that I have not dreamed everything.
— G. K. Chesterton
Thanks for the encouragement Caroline.
Lovely quote!
I had never heard of G. K. Chesterton before seeing this quote. And, interestingly, this is the second quote I’ve seen of his today. I checked him out and discovered there is an entire website devoted to his works. Thanks for sharing, Caroline.
Isn’t it funny how things sometimes work that way? I’d never realized there was a town in Arizona called Peoria until I saw something about it three times in the course of one day.
I love Chesterton’s Father Brown mysteries. And his insight on faith is beautiful.
I’ll have to check those out, Caroline. I see Amazon has the complete collection on Kindle for 99 cents. 🙂
