The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. The first I’m reading for pleasure, the second I’m reading for study…and humor. ๐Ÿ™‚

I read The Namesake with my book club in Battle Creek, MI. That’s where I also let someone borrow my copy of Bird by Bird, never to see it again. No worries. I’d already soaked up the good stuff.

I’m reading The Eighth Day right now. So good. Just finished Salvage, another really good one.

Can’t wait for Eighth Day. Such a clever idea.

Reading A Snicker of Magic. Finished your book give away, Bird, and just posted my first book review ever and will feature it on my blog tomorrow. Thanks so much for this beautiful book.

Also reading the poetry of Barbara Crooker, Gold. Love it!

I *LOVED* Secret Life of Bees! If you like Southern you will, too! And I’m currently reading A Snicker of Magic. Got a copy from Alamosa at the schmooze last week. ๐Ÿ™‚

Can’t wait to pick up Sue Monk Kidd’s The Invention of Wings. It sounds like it might hold some similarities with my Blue Birds.

Now that I’ve returned your last book, I’m putting in my request for A Snicker of Magic once you’re done!
