OVER IN THE WETLANDS has an Illustrator!
Rob Dunlavey to illustrate Caroline Starr Rose’s OVER IN THE WETLANDS, rhyming text following the inhabitants of the Louisiana bayou as they prepare for a storm, to Lee Wade at Schwartz and Wade, by Elena Mechlin at Pippin Properties.
Check out Rob’s website to see his gorgeous pictures. I’m especially taken with those birds and bears — both of which appear in WETLANDS.
Oh, it’s going to be a LOVELY book! Congratulations. xo
Thank you! I feel exactly the same way.
Wow, it will be gorgeous! I can’t wait to see it.
Thank you, Faith. I can’t wait, either!
Looking forward to it.
Thank you. Did you ever read this manuscript, Larry? Hope to do my Terrebonne Parish friends proud.
No I haven’t and you’ve made us very proud already.
Thank you, Larry. This is a book for Louisiana, so this is very lovely to hear.
The pictures are sure to be charming!
I think so, too.
So excited for your new book! His illustration style is so charming! You are going to have lots of animal characters?
The book follows different animal mamas and babies through the hours before and after a hurricane. I have only thought of the story as a collection of words for so long. Can’t wait to see how Ron interprets things.
Mia, I just read the book’s description again. All the inhabitants happen to be animals. :)
