A book club for kids! Ah, if only I was still a kid at your school! Those lucky kids…
Interestingly enough, I have a read a book along the lines of how to encourage (and maintain) a love of reading in kids called The Rights of the Reader by Daniel Pennac (trans. Sarah Adams) – if you haven’t heard of it already, I’d pick it would be right up your alley. If you’re interested you might like to check out the review I wrote for it on my blog (http://kathmeista.blogspot.com/).
I hope those kids realise how lucky they are to have someone like you doing this for them! 🙂
fantastic lists. thank you!
I am always looking for good books for my son and daughter. they are excited about the graphic novel section at our library, and while i know those are a lot of fun from having read them myself, i try to keep them balanced in their reading habits. we always borrow a piece of good lit with their other picks. one for one. oh how we LOVE our library trips!
