Reminders to Myself: 10 Truths About the Writing Life

dsc_0984

there is no schedule

things take longer than ever hoped for or planned

not all writing sessions or seasons demand the same intensity

thinking is not wasted time

the satisfaction is in the work

each phase of the writing process brings its own joys and challenges

frustration, insecurity, and fear are part of the process, so learn to sit with them

dead ends and wrong turns will narrow the path until it leads to the right way in

writing is not efficient, but no effort is ever wasted

you can do this

Yes! We CAN do this. Thank you, Caroline. I’m in constant need of reminders, myself. Especially that part about things taking longer than hoped for or planned. So true.
