If I were Elizabeth Wein, I might have been tempted to stop writing after the brilliant Code Name Verity. It’s the sort of book that feels like a pinnacle in writing. A lifetime achievement. Thankfully, Wein didn’t do as I might. She’s produced the equally compelling, just as powerful companion novel, Rose Under Fire.

Tell the world. As a member of the human race, this is a must-read book.
