… a writing-free day.
- I will dig into the pile of books I brought home from the library
- I will not think about picture book stanzas that aren’t working
- I will drink coffee and sit on the couch
- I will not worry about household tasks
- I’ll scratch my puppy’s belly
- I’ll relax, knowing MAY B. will be back in my hands very soon, and I will have to buckle down
What are you doing today?
Remember, the LOSING FAITH / book bag giveaway closes Sunday.
Sounds lovely and perfect. 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love,
Lola
I am trying to spend precious preschool hours to write (and maybe a little blogging). Enjoy your books and coffee!
Organizing my basement while trying to ignore the frustration I’m having with my writing- or the lack thereof!
Good luck with all of that. Enjoy your weekend. I’ll be continuing to switch my 2nd novel from 3rd to 1st POV.
Your day sounds much nicer than mine! I hope you enjoy it. 🙂
Relax and enjoy. I just finished my R&R, I think. Time for me to relax too.
With any luck, I’m diving back into a project I need to work on!
Sounds good! I took a month-long break from writing. Now, I’m trying to gear up to start again. That, and getting ready to show my books at the Brooklyn Book Festival. If you like, come visit my Idea City blog to hear all about it, and see the cutest ever Husky puppy mascots I got for the booth!
Sounds like a lovely break for you! Hope you enjoy it.
I’m still at the scrambling-for-time-stage, but since the sun is shining I shall take a break to go for a family bike ride later this afternoon. And I won’t feel the slightest twinge of guilt! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
I was editing after a full day of research yesterday! Sometimes the writing free days are just what we need!
Hope you had a nice, relaxing day, Caroline.
I am sitting down for the first time today. My cat and my laptop are both on my lap. It’s great.
And for the record, I didn’t write a lick today either!

Today was a reading day (and a try to push back from a migraine day). And Glamour of Grammar is pretty lovely. And so is Gail Caldwell’s memoir.
(Thank you for asking!)

I hope your Friday was all that! Sounds like heaven!
Life gets so hectic sometimes, it’s great to stop and enjoy.
