What I Return To

Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it, because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.
— Frederick Buechner (Now and Then: A Memoir of Vocation)

I definitely need to listen to this advice. This week was insane going to work, WriteOnCon, and taking my daughter to high school swim practice.

Loved your vlog at WriteOnCon BTW.

Awesome quote. It will serve as my inspiration for the day. Thanks…

I love this idea of ‘listening to your life’. So many more stories to tell…

I love the last part, about all moments being key moments. So often I’m prone to wait or only focus on those big events. All of life is sacred, though.

Whew, Caroline! You’ve done it again. I love it when you bestow these wonderful quotes on us. And yes, all moments are important. Usually it’s the little moments that end up being the ones you remember years later.

    Lovely photo, too.
