What is the Class of 2k11?

The Class of 2k11 is a community of YA/MG debut novelists banding together to use group synergy to promote their books and ideas.  Typically, group activities include developing common promotional and publicity materials, forming panels to speak at conferences, and supporting one another to share information about the publishing world as we discover it.

Our website is now live!

How is the Class of 2k11 different from the Elevensies?
Both groups are for middle-grade and young adult authors debuting next year, though there are a few differences:

  1. The Elevensies is an opt-in group, meaning you can be as active as you choose. Members of 2k11 must pay to join ($275) and understand that a lot of work will be involved.
  2. The Elevensies is primarily about supporting one another and sharing our experiences as we lead up to publication. The Class of 2k11 does this too, but the group’s primary focus is promotion.
  3. The Elevensies has 86 members. The Class of 2k11 has 20.
Stop by to find out more about the Class of 2k11! We’ve got some amazing things planned for the months ahead.

I checked the website out yesterday, it looks great! But I couldn’t figure out where to sign up for your newsletter…. I’m probably just lame and it’s as easy as can be. Oh well! 😉
