When the World’s Your Office

You’ve seen glimpses of my mini office and the full-fledged one. Here’s my current favorite place to work.

I pack a blanket, a notebook, and loads of research books and spend the afternoon at the park.

Where do you write?

That looks so peaceful and serene. I want to write there!

Maybe I should start back writing in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens again.

Would I ever look at my notepad there? It is stunning. I wish I had an office like that!!!

Unbelievably, I tend to write best on my school computer. Even when I’m not working! πŸ™‚

Lovely! If it weren’t for the architecture, I’d say that looked like where I lived in Southern Cal.

As the weather gets nicer, I like to move outdoors more too, although I tend to stick to my front porch. That way I can also feed my internet addiction. πŸ™‚

    Have a great weekend!

I write from my office which overlooks the backyard with feeders and other critter visits. Sometimes, though, hit a coffee shop to change things up.
Underneath that tree looks very inviting!

Oh! I love your shady spot under the tree! I usually sit on my couch and write, but I do love the outdoors. I just need to find myself a nice shady tree like yours.

Love your inspiring space. I use the dining room table we never use and will soon move to our new sunroom.

It looks beautiful! Unfortunately for me, such beauty is more distracting than inspiring. I do better in a box.

Nice, Caroline! I guess I only write at my computer inside. I’m outside all day at work, so it’s a nice change of scenery.

Karen, get thee to the gardens and post pictures!

Rebecca, you’re not going to believe this, but I never really noticed how perfect the view of the mountains was…until looking at this picture. Maybe I’m too absorbed in my books?

Heidi, it’s good for me to get away from the wifi. The park is perfect for this.

Missing Moments, Monday is my coffee shop day. It’s a treat to look forward to.

Leisl, I get the box. Sometimes the surroundings are too distracting. That why leaving my house is a nice change.

Natalie, I’ve never been much of a desk/table person. Like Anita, I prefer a couch.

Terry, I can see why inside would appeal to you!

That park is a beautiful setting for writing. Doesn’t your back hurt after awhile, though, sitting on the ground? I guess I’m too old to sit on the ground for hours. I love the comfy chair in my living room, with the footstool, or kicked back in bed with my feet up. I don’t like working at a desk either.

    Have a great weekend.

Lyn, I lounge more than sit. πŸ˜‰

Well, I am definitely too old to sit on the ground for long! That’s a gorgeous view, though.

I write in a small guest room upstairs, with my back to the window. Seeing the trees and flowers outside is far too distracting for me (and I would tend to think, oh, I must get outside and pull those weeds!).

At my kitchen table. But Holy Smokes that’s beautiful!
