    A couple of years ago I Googled quotes on reading and writing. My list is pretty picked over; I’ll have to find more soon!

    I also have a handful from my teaching days.

    One of my favorite first lessons to do with my kids was to have them make mini posters about reading, writing, or social studies. They had to come up with a sentence to promote their subject. The posters bordered the classroom walls the entire year.
