Sing a Song of Seasons: A Nature Poem for Each Day of the Year

I’ve wanted to read this collection of nature poems since I first heard of it months ago. Happily I discovered my library had a copy.

Organized by each day of the month, these poems can be enjoyed as daily readings, as a collection to dip into when the mood strikes, or as a cover to cover journey through the unfolding year.

There are poems both familiar and new.

Often they’re arranged thematically around weather or landmarks or plants or animals.

The artwork is delightful.

Look how lovely!

Sometimes several poems are grouped together.

Sometimes only one poem is included on a spread.

I hope you’ll enjoy Sing a Song of Seasons: A Nature Poem for Each Day of the Year as much as I did. It’s a beautiful invitation to bring poetry into your every day.

I just bought this! I’m hoping to incorporate it into a daily mindfulness practice. Such a lovely book… thanks for sharing!

Wonderful! I read through it in a couple sittings. I really was a treat.

I bought this when it first came out a few months ago. I read the day’s poem to my students before we begin our daily read aloud.

It looks beautiful! I like that it has familiar poems as well as new. (I spotted “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” which will forever remind me of eighth grade!)
