Ultra Quick Lit: What I’ve Been Reading Lately (with some run-on sentences)

Three books published in 2025 that I’ve read in the last few months and really, really loved but never wrote about here: The Correspondent by Virginia Evans, Heart the Lover by Lily King, and What We Can Know by Ian McEwan
A deeply moving novel about a man who walks across England in hopes of saving his dying friend: The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce
A romance about a portrait artist who is suffering from face blindness that is a commentary on first impressions, assumptions, and what it means to be seen: Hello Stranger by Katherine Center
A book that was fascinating and far out (to quote the teens of my childhood) and especially interesting to listen to as I took a continuing ed. philosophy class: A World Appears: A Journey into Consciousness by Michael Pollan
The main text from that philosophy class: The Last Days of Socrates by Plato
