Couldn’t agree more. I have a clipping from a literary magazine tacked on my bulletin board:

    read

    read

    read

    read

    read

    read

    read

    read

like your life depends on it.

    Because it does.

I love to read. It has always been my favorite pasttime.

I just wish I had more time to read. My TBR pile is turning into Mount Everestt!

I’m enjoying exploring your site. Loved the post “Where do you write?” and the peek at your office. Though I have a desk in our living room, it’s a shared space so more often than not my husband’s at it working on bills or a kid’s playing a computer game.

I find most of my writing is done on the sly in a spiral notebook I carry with me. As for that matter, so is my reading: slipped in between stops at a light or stirs of a soup pot.

Oh yes, it is. And so quietly lovely compared to the blaring TV.

Reading was my escape in my childhood. It’s a great place to go when life isn’t so good.
